Vibrant floral lemonade combines lavender, citrus, and grape flavors for a refreshing purple-hued drink.

# What You'll Need:

→ Lavender Syrup

01 - 1/2 cup water
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender buds

→ Lemonade Base

04 - 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (approximately 4–5 lemons)
05 - 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup, to taste
06 - 2 cups cold water

→ Purple Infusion

07 - 1/2 cup 100% pure grape juice
08 - 1/2 cup butterfly pea flower tea, cooled (optional)

→ Garnish

09 - Lemon slices
10 - Fresh lavender sprigs or mint leaves
11 - Ice cubes

# Directions:

01 - Combine water, granulated sugar, and dried lavender buds in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring until sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat, cover, and allow to steep for 10 minutes. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer, discarding the lavender buds, then allow the syrup to cool completely.
02 - In a large pitcher, combine freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey or agave syrup, and cold water. Stir thoroughly until the sweetener is fully incorporated.
03 - Add the cooled lavender syrup and grape juice to the lemonade base. Stir to blend. For a more vivid purple color, gently pour in the cooled butterfly pea flower tea and allow the color to develop.
04 - Fill serving glasses with ice. Pour in the Purple Rain Lavender Lemonade Refresher and garnish each glass with lemon slices and either fresh lavender sprigs or mint leaves.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Because the color alone feels like a party, but it&apost;s surprisingly refreshing and not too sweet.
  • The subtle lavender relaxes your senses and bright lemon awakens your palate—it&apost;s perfect for impressing guests, even if it&apost;s just yourself.
02 -
  • If you rush the syrup steeping, the floral flavor never fully comes through—I learned that the hard way when one batch turned bland.
  • Adding butterfly pea tea gently, not all at once, keeps the color rich and avoids dilution.
03 -
  • Letting the syrup cool completely prevents cloudiness in the final drink.
  • If you want the hue to pop, layer the pea tea slowly at the end—it creates a gorgeous ombre effect.
